چکیده

Based on its ability to obtain two-dimensional (2D) high-resolution images in all-time and all-weather conditions, spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has become an important remote sensing technique the study of such systems entered a period vigorous development. Advanced imaging modes as interferometry, tomography, multi-static imaging, have been demonstrated. However, current in-orbit SARs, which all operate low Earth orbits, relatively long revisit times ranging from several days dozens days, restricting their temporal sampling rate. Geosynchronous SAR (GEO SAR) is active research area because it provides significant new capability, especially much-improved sampling. This paper reviews progress GEO technologies detail. Two typical orbit schemes are presented, followed by corresponding key issues, including system design, echo focusing, main disturbance factors, repeat-track etc, inherent these schemes. Both analysis solution above issues described. concepts involving multiple platforms described, constellation, GEO-LEO/airborne/unmanned aerial vehicle bistatic SAR, formation flying (FF-GEO SAR). Due high potential FF-GEO for three-dimensional (3D) deformation retrieval coherence-based tomography (TomoSAR), we recently carried out some related SAR. research, also discussed this paper, includes developing design method improved TomoSAR processing algorithm. It found that will continue be topic aspect data multi-platform concept near future.

The Object Detection Efficiency in Synthetic Aperture Radar Systems

The main purpose of this paper is to develop the method of characteristic functions for calculating the detection characteristics in the case of the object surrounded by rough surfaces. This method is to be implemented in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems using optimal resolution algorithms. By applying the specified technique, the expressions have been obtained for the false alarm and cor...

Synthetic aperture radar interferometry

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is a coherent active microwave imaging method. In remote sensing it is used for mapping the scattering properties of the Earth’s surface in the respective wavelength domain. Many physical and geometric parameters of the imaged scene contribute to the grey value of a SAR image pixel. Scene inversion suffers from this high ambiguity and requires SAR data taken at di...
